About Kingsgate Skating Club and the KSC Board

The purposes and objectives of Kingsgate Skating Club are to encourage and promote the growth of competitive and recreational figure skating and other youth-oriented activities in accordance with established youth movement objectives which teach physical skills, fair play and sportsmanship, discipline, respect for authority, and safety.

Kingsgate Skating Club is committed to the following:

serving the needs of beginning skaters to promote recreational figure skating competitions
providing quality programs for training competition skaters
sponsoring ice shows that involve skaters of all levels.

Membership Benefits

There are many benefits to membership in Kingsgate Skating Club. These include, but are not limited to,

Skaters can choose a Basic Skills membership or Full USFS membership
Reduced rates for ice time. Only members qualify for the lower punch card rate; non-members pay a higher rate.
Club ice at 1/2 price on Thursdays from 3:50-4:50 p.m.
Free club seminars
Participation in a skater-friendly environment
Social events
Ice shows and exhibitions
Halloween party
Skate Swap
Fundraising events
Community-building

Full USFS Membership Benefits

Full USFS members also enjoy these benefits:

Home club priority and fees for USFS tests
SKATING magazine from USFS
Voting privileges on Club issues

Rates

Punch cards for members: $75.00 for 10 Freestyle sessions
Drop-in rate for people without punch cards: $10 per Freestyle session
Punch cards for non-members: $100 for 10 Freestyle sessions

Each Freestyle session skated costs one punch. Skaters who do not have a punch card must pay by cash or check only; we cannot accept credit or debit cards at this time. Save money by buying a punch card and by becoming a KSC member.

Volunteers Needed

Many hands make light work! If you have even a few hours a month, you can make a difference for our Club. For example, we need people to help with our fundraising, membership, volunteers, ice shows, and anything else that comes up.
