Adult Skating & Other Programs
If you are an adult interested in learning how to skate, please visit our Learn to Skate page. If you have some skating experience, please join us in one of our Adult classes listed below. Skating isn’t just for kids!
Adult Edge: Thursdays 9:15 - 11:00 a.m.
Adult skaters age 18 and older are invited to skate during our Adult Edge session on Thursday mornings. The cost for this ice time is a single punch on your Freestyle punch card or the $10 drop-in rate (payable by cash or check only; we cannot accept credit or debit cards).
Adults are also welcome to take the 30-minute Adult Edge Class offered by one of the Kingsgate coaches (or visiting instructor) during the Adult Edge session. This class runs during the Adult Edge session from 10:00 – 10:30 for an additional $5, which is paid directly to the coach.
Beginning Adult Edge: Tuesdays 11:15 a.m.
This A-Edge-1 class is for adult beginners who are a Level Adult 2 skater or above. Class is 30 minutes long, and is held during Tuesday’s Public Skate session. The cost for the ice time is a single punch on your Public punch card or the $7 drop-in rate (payable by cash or check only; we cannot accept credit or debit cards). In addition, the instructor’s fee is $5.00, payable directly to Maria Murphy. Total cost = 1 punch + $5 (or $12) for the class and up to 3 hours of skating. This is a great deal and a great way to improve your skills!
Adult Ice Dance: Mondays 10:15 a.m.
Join us for our new Adult Dance Ice class on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. The cost is a single punch on your Freestyle punch card or the $10 drop-in rate (payable by cash or check only; we cannot accept credit or debit cards). In addition, the instructor’s fee is $7.50, payable directly to Dede McKaig. Skaters who also want to work with a male partner can dance with Terry Summe for an additional $5.00. Come try this popular class!
